Dr. Jef Rangel is a distinguished US Naval Veteran with 21 years of dedicated service. Throughout his naval career, he held various roles including Undesignated Sailor, Air Traffic Controller, Sonar Technician, and Religious Lay Leader, demonstrating versatility and commitment across three sea commands. His journey in the Navy exemplifies a broad range of expertise and leadership.

Following his active-duty service, Dr. Rangel continued his commitment to the military community by serving in the fleet reserves. Simultaneously, he served as a VA Appeals Claim Agent, representing veterans through the VA's appeal process and ensuring they received the benefits and support they deserved.

Dr. Rangel started his university academic studies later in life, attending various colleges and earning a degree in ministry from Oklahoma University. He also obtained a master's degree in organizational leadership from National University. His dedication to education and community service was further recognized when he was honorarily bestowed a doctorate in communications after two years of organizing Christian festivals in various communities from Tennessee to Hawaii.

Mixed in with his military and academic pursuits, Dr. Rangel has been actively working in the Kingdom Kids ministry prior to 2004. Jayne Ricker instilled in him a love for the ministry, which she had helped lay a foundation for. Dr. Rangel is the perfect person to keep the Kingdom Kids ministry moving forward while honoring the many talented people who originally created the curriculum. His extensive experience and unwavering dedication to service, education, and ministry reflect his deep commitment to his community and the next generation of Kingdom Kids.
