Sunday Subjects Online Informal Fellowship

Connect with others through live Zoom Bible study sessions.

Sunday Subjects Online Informal Fellowship is a church supplement designed to serve as a home community for those in need, or as a complementary ministry for those already connected to a local church. As an informal fellowship, we meet weekly online via Zoom for about an hour and communicate primarily through Facebook Messenger. Our Tuesday gathering takes the form of a Bible study, meaning there is no organized singing, sermons, sacraments, or offerings. Sunday Subjects is a nonprofit that accepts donations from those who feel led to give.

As part of developing and maintaining a covenant relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit, we seek to help one another grow in faith through the gospel, believing that Jesus is who He says He is, repenting of sin, making the great confession at baptism, dying to self and being reborn, and living out the greatest commandment, the Beatitudes, and the teachings of the apostles, with Scripture as the primary authority. In simple terms, we aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus. At times we may sprint, but overall this is a marathon, a lifelong transformation.

We are not a denomination, but to help clarify our framework, we teach from a moderate Restoration-based Protestant theological approach.

Informal Vision

Lead a Study, Invite a Buddy, Call Someone on the Team, Fulfill Jesus’ Dream.

The Informal Fellowship vision is designed to encourage simple, steady participation in discipleship, fellowship, and encouragement within the Sunday Subjects community. The focus is not on performance or numbers alone, but on helping people grow spiritually, strengthen relationships, and actively participate in the mission of Jesus together.

Core Goals

Year One

  • Lead or help lead one Tuesday Study during the year.

  • Invite one new person to the group during the year.

  • Call, check in on, or encourage one person on the team each month.

Year Two and Beyond

Participants are encouraged to grow naturally by doubling the previous goals:

  • Lead or assist with two studies.

  • Invite two people.

  • Reach out to two people monthly.

The vision is built around consistent, relational growth rather than pressure or rigid requirements.

Measuring Achievement

Success is not measured simply by attendance numbers or programs. Achievement is measured by:

  • Building a stronger and more connected group.

  • Encouraging one another spiritually and personally.

  • Developing confidence in serving and leading.

  • Living a life that reflects Jesus’ purpose and mission.

The goal is to create a culture where everyone participates in simple acts of discipleship, encouragement, and outreach that multiply over time.
